The art historian and media theorist Hans Belting died on 10 January 2023 at the age of 87. His research, which spanned epochs and media, set standards for the field of visual history.

We are pleased to announce our latest additions to the documenta archiv: In addition to the multimedia archive of the cyberfeminist artists' group Old Boys Network (OBN), we have received extensive donations of photographs and slides by the photographer Jens Wächter for documenta 7 (1982) and curator Marc Nash, who was part of the curatorial team for Documenta 11 (2002).
