Online Research

Arcinsys

The archive information system Arcinsys of the Hessian State Archive allows research in the files of the archive. The online catalog offers detailed information about the holdings and the indexing units and will be successively expanded.

So far, the inventory overview as well as the existing distortion units for the first documenta up to documenta 14 are searchable in Arcinsys.

Finding Aids

The finding aids to documenta exhibitions 1 to 12 are available as PDF files:

The holdings documenta 8 and documenta 9 are currently not available for public use due to cataloguing work, the files can only be consulted with special permission.
