The ephemeral in the archive: As a Goethe Institut Fellow, Helga Lyubartovich has been researching the often overlooked genre of "ephemera" in the documenta archiv since the beginning of October. Her research thus focuses on daily printed matter such as brochures, leaflets, press releases, invitations or admission tickets.

Originally intended for short-term use, these special contemporary testimonies can have unexpected expressive power and - even at a great distance in time - open up surprising perspectives on exhibition events.

Helga Lyubartovich (Saint Petersburg) is an art historian and archivist at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Nonconformist Art in Saint Petersburg.

Her presentation will provide insights into her research and methods.
