The in 2013 acquired photographic collection by Dieter Schwerdtle (1952–2009) has already began in 2015, thanks to a generous donation from »Impulse für Kassel-Stiftung«. Dieter Schwerdtle studied photography at the comprehensive school of Kassel under Prof. Floris M. Neusüss (born 1937). Since 1981 he has worked as a freelance photographer and soon specialized on documenting the local art scene in Kassel and the documenta in particular.
